Prof Hans Lassmann is University Professor for Neuroimmunology and Head of the Department of Neuroimmunology at the Center for Brain Research at the Medical University of Vienna.

Dr Hametner studied Medicine at the Medical University of Vienna where he started to work in the lab of Prof. Hans Lassmann. Subsequently, he did his PhD in Neuroscience in the same lab and stayed as a Post Doc. Since October this year, he is a resident neuropathologist at the University Medical Center, Goettingen, Germany, with Prof. Wolfgang Brück.
